5 WAYS TO GET BACK ON TRACK WITH EXERCISE As promised, here are a few of the things I do to get me back on track if life, work or poor mental health lead me astray: 1. START SMALL. Your fitness goals are too big. Yes. You read that right. Your goals are TOO BIG. Let me clarify - you decide you want to exercise and aim for 5-6 workouts a week. You either haven’t worked out ever, or it’s been awhile since you were consistent but 5-6x is what everyone else seems to be doing so you feel like you should be doing this too. A few weeks later and exercise is a distant memory. How to avoid this? KEEP your big goals but START small. Aim for 2-3 workouts a week and once that becomes a habit THEN start adding more days. The aim is to create realistic and attainable goals. 2. DO WORKOUTS YOU ENJOY. This might seem crazy but if you hate the gym...you don’t need to go. Personally, I love it and feel like everyone should lift weights because of the numerous health benefits but there are so many other forms of exercise you can do. Invest in home workout equipment, join different types of fitness classes, run or hike outside, etc. Exercise should be enjoyable so find what you enjoy and do that. 3. REVAMP YOUR LIFESTYLE. When I feel like 💩 I’m 10x less likely to workout. How do I not feel like 💩? I work on my mental health, I get enough sleep, I nourish my body with wholesome foods, I limit alcohol, etc. Basically - I do the things listed on my previous post. 4. FIND YOUR WHY. This one is SO SO important. In order to be consistent with ANYTHING you need to know your why. Why do you want to exercise? Why do you want to lose weight or be in shape? Why is this important to you (exercise IS important for all of us). Understand your why, write it down, look at it daily. 5. HIRE A COACH. This isn’t just a shameless plug for myself (although hey 👋🏼) - even coaches need coaches. Nothing helps me get back on track (and STAY on track) like having a good coach does. Find someone you vibe with, that cares about your goals, and spend some 💰. Even if you hire them for a month, having someone to guide you and hold you accountable is worth the investment.

Do you deal with wrist discomfort while performing push-ups? . I purchased these handles a while back for my clients. This tool is inexpensive & effective. As I said in the video, it allows you to not have to bend your wrist while perform upper body weight exercises (push-ups). . We have to exercise even if we have discomfort, the important thing is to find ways around it. Don't ignore the discomfort but do some research, figure out what's wrong. We are going to have bumps in the road, that does not mean you stop. 😉💪
