4 week mini-cut - week 3 update: 🔸️Starting weight: 131.6 🔸️Current weight: 126.8 🔸️Total loss to date: 4.8lbs 🔸️Current calories: 1700/day (700 daily defict) 🔸️100% restriction free including sugar, carbs, dairy, diet soda, etc. . Scale weight started dropping fast this week after lingering a bit. This is known as the "woosh effect", which is when one is visibly losing fat but the scale remains at a plateau. The cause is cells holding water in lieu of the fat lost as a placeholder awaiting the arrival of more fat. Once it realizes more fat is not arriving at this time, the cells finally release the water...in turn collapsing the fat cell (it doesn't disappear, just shrinks). This results in a decent drop in scale weight. . Again, this is where patience and consistency are key. Understanding the scale and some weight loss basics assist in remaining consistent despite delayed gratification. 🤓🤓 . Was hoping to lose maybe 3lbs and I'm almost at 5. NSV❓I’ve been trying to think of items that are the equivalent to what I have lost in weight🤔 I think this is a really great example for me, I’ve just lost over 20kgs and need to lost about the same again. This is quite fitting as I go to the gym and work with a personal trainer, and we have been working me up the kettlebell weights for quite a while but I cannot even do 5 kettlebell swings with this because it’s THAT heavy for me😱 I cannot believe I used to live with this much weight on top of what I weight now🤭 and I also cannot believe that I need to lose the same again - I always wonder if the gym would get easier? On the days I don't go to the gym like yesterday, I started following an at home workout program. It nice to just follow along and not really have to think about sets and reps sometimes. Plus, it's perfect with the limited equipment I have at home. As a personal trainer alot of ideas also spark up while watching and doing these programs. Yesterday I did day 4 out of a 100 day program. So far so good, using some modifications for moves I don't feel comfortable doing with the belly. If you guys have followed me for a while you know I used/coached beachbody programs in the past particularly after Alex was born when I didn't want to take him to the kids club and I was on a mission to get back into shape after basically not having worked out at all for an entire pregnancy and the first 3 months postpartum because of pelvic pain. Well I figured once the new baby arrives I will find myself in a similar position especially once I factor in nursing all day with limited time to leave get a decent workout in and come back home. So I decided to plan ahead and couldn't think of anything better than relying on what has worked for me twice after baby. Teeny tiny coconut butter matcha + tulip magnolia blossoms for an instant pick-me up. Recipe is so simple, just blend 1 tsp best quality matcha green tea powder with 1 cup hot water (195F max), 1 tablespoon coconut butter, 1 tsp raw honey and a pinch vanilla bean powder. I often add a bit of cashew butter and yin powder for that deluxe vibe. 🌱🌸

Practical Life ✨Making strawberry lemonade. Mr. J happily helped squeeze the lemon and put the strawberries in the nutribullet cup and into the glass. And the best part: he got to have a taste of it before his sister could 😂 There is nothing better than that to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
