I'm here to save you money and save the Earth at the same time! 💙💚🌎 I've seen lots of posts here about composting and using less fossil fuels, but did you know that animal agriculture is responsible for more than 4 to 6 times the greenhouse gas emissions of all transportation (cars, trucks, boats, planes, trains) combined? The methane and nitrous oxide from unnaturally mass bred animals💩have a global warming rate of ~30x and 300x respectively compared to C02.
It is also responsible for ocean dead zones, mass extinction, over 90% of irreversible Amazon rainforest deforestation, and 56% of water use in the US. (citations and more facts can be found at http://www.cowspiracy.com/facts and we all must watch Cowspiracy on Netflix!) 🔥🌎 .
The good news is there is a super easy fix. By adopting a vegan lifestyle, we the consumers can change the system from the inside out. I know it might sound strange to some of you, but all you have to do is go to a different part of the grocery store where they have plant based alternatives that taste just as good (better imho) as animal products, and/or eat the cheapest healthiest staples in the world, such as grains, legumes, & 70,000 yummy plants. In the long run it will help you save even more money on healthcare costs too as 14 of the leading causes of death are preventable by a plant based diet (see www.pcrm.org and http://www.nutritionfacts.org for more health related information, as well as watch “Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death” on YT. Also 💜Forks Over Knives, 💜Game Changers, and 💜What The Health which are available on netflix or online for free.). .
Vegans live an average of 7-10 years longer!
@_challenge22_ is a marvelous fun support mentor and dietician program, completely FREE! 🥰
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me. I've been vegan for years and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! (personally I went vegan for ethical reasons (www.adaptt.org ) but the 🌎 & 🤟 benefits are a big bonus.) .
P.S. this is the cheapest diet on the planet. It can even be done on $1.50 a day (https://www.forksoverknives.com/my-1-50-a-day-challenge-eating-a-plant-based-diet-on-an-austere-budget/#gs.ELckN7E )
