On November 2, 2019 the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will lead the annual Out of the Darkness walk in Washington, D.C. The primary purpose of this walk is to raise awareness for research and educational programs to support the survivors of suicide loss. Please join your friends and colleagues in Diplomatic Security to support this cause. Online registration closes at noon on November 1st, 2019, the Friday before the walk.
However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins at 2:00 P.M. on November 2nd, 2019 until the walk starts.
Registration does not require a donation and takes only a few minutes. We will meet in front of SA-20 at 2:45 P.M. and take the Rosslyn Metro to the event.
Please register online and search DS Cares; more details and the links are on our Facebook page; the first 25 participants who register, will get a tee shirt provided by the Diplomatic Security Special Agents Association.
